The TCA 25% peel reveals fresh, glowing skin with moderate downtime and peeling best suited for experienced users. TCA 25% can effectively treat: mild to acute acne due in part to its powerful anti-bacterial properties, fine lines and wrinkles as well as an uneven and blotchy complexion.
Unlike progressive, medium grade peels, such as Glycolic or Salicylic, TCA Peels exfoliate the skin more rapidly upon initial contact. The long-lasting results make it an ideal peel for those who prefer less peeling sessions at the cost of moderate downtime. TCA’s dexterity for treating a wide range of skin conditions makes it the perfect chemical peel for individuals with multiple concerns. Due to Trichloroacetic Acid’s antibacterial properties, the TCA Peel is a particularly excellent choice for individuals suffering from chronic acne vulgaris. Fine lines and wrinkles, hyperpigmentation, stretch marks, acne as well as an uneven skin tone can all serve to benefit from a TCA Peel.
Darker skin types (particularly African American) should proceed with caution due to an increased risk of post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation.
A sunscreen 30 DPF should be use afterr the peel to prevent hyperpigmentation

Helping your skin to heal After your peel it will be important to moisturize your skin with a quality, healing ointment. We recommend Hyaluronic Acid Serum, Bacitracin, or Neosporin. With 1-2 layers of 20% TCA your skin will most likely turn a light brown color over the next 2-3 days. You should apply the recommended healing ointments around the clock to keep the skin moist.
After your peel
· 1-2 layers of TCA, your skin may feel as though you have a sunburn, and it may also feel tight. Do not scrub your skin. Use a gentle cleanser, pat dry and apply a moisturizing ointment. Hyaluronic Acid are excellent choices to aid in healing and regeneration.
· 3-5 layers (Multiple layers should be done with extreme caution- *and should be worked-up to gradually). It is best to apply multiple layers in an office setting. Do not make excessive or widely exaggerated facial expressions during the peeling phase. This could cause your skin to tear and lead to scarring. Your skin may turn a brown color, and will shed off in approximately 7-10 days. Just let your skin heal naturally and DO NOT EVER tug on ANY skin that is peeling from your face (even if it is just hanging there). You can cause excessive damage resulting in severe scarring if you tear off a piece that is still attached at the end.
